Welcome to my blog friends and thank you for following. In order to get better acquainted, I’d like to share a little bit about myself. My name is Ana Verduzco, as some of you may already know. My family and closest childhood friends call me Annie but my daddy calls me Corazon because he says I am his heart! I am a free spirit and life enthusiast. I’m a humanitarian and natural helper. I wholeheartedly believe in being the change you wish to see in the world. I try to practice mindfulness and rely heavily on prayer and meditation to navigate my way through this crazy, beautiful life. “Spontaneous” could be my middle name and I guarantee that if you roll with me, there is never a dull moment. My life is filled with adventure, love, and laughter. I am a divorcée, but I do not let that define me. I’m a professional, career-oriented, strong, independent woman. I am 31 years young, I am a lover of life and Jesus Christ and this blog is my story.

Currently, I live and work in Dallas, Texas. I live in a loft with a beautiful view of downtown Dallas. I’m an Executive Director of a law firm. I am a paper chaser, and big spender. I’m the baby in my family, so spoiling myself comes natural. I am the youngest of 7. I have 2 sisters and 4 brothers, we’re like a Mexican Brady Bunch! We love each other most days, but generally we are always roasting each other. It’s a lot of fun! I grew up a tomboy and I think I can kick anybody’s ass, if it comes down to it. I consider myself a total bad-ass aka “chingona”. I’m fluent in English and Spanish, but I mostly speak Spanglish. I’m not really into all the glitz and glam of being a girl. I prefer a bare face and lip stick, but best believe I still slay! I love Beyoncé and may or may not know most of her dance moves. I’m a music lover and wanna-be “artist”, although I don’t give myself enough credit for being as talented as I truly am. I can sing, I can write, I paint, I draw, I do some pretty killer impersonations and I consider myself a comedian. I love all things food, except for papaya that I know for sure. I’ll try almost anything once and I am an adrenaline junkie. I’ve jumped out an airplane, 3 times, at 13,500 ft! To this day, I have never experienced anything more exhilarating than skydiving. Everyone should try it at least once and if your parachute doesn’t open, then you’ll know skydiving is just not for you!

I’ve lived a pretty sweet life and have had some of the most awesome experiences and encounters with people that uplift my soul, inspire and encourage me. I surround myself with winners and individuals that grow me, mentally, spiritually and intellectually. I am never stagnant, yet always still. One of my favorite quotes is:

“Quiet the mind, and the soul will speak.” -Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati.

I pride myself on always moving forward, being able to pick up the pieces when things fall apart and staying positive even when all odds are against me. I love life, period. Regardless of my circumstance, I believe that there is always something to be grateful for. I wake up every morning just happy to be alive for one more day. I try to be as gracious as possible and I’ve always believed in forgiveness. My parents always taught me to love and respect people and appreciate our differences. I don’t have it all together, all the time but what I do know is, that in this life, we only have one shot to make it or break it. You can live your whole life never taking chances, always afraid of what will or won’t happen or you can accept life as it comes and realize, that you are not defined by the things that happen to you, but rather how you respond to them.

Now that you know a little more about me, I hope you keep following along and come back regularly for more. So grab a cup of coffee, pour yourself a shot, or enjoy your favorite glass of wine and embark with me on this journey as I pour my heart out to you and hopefully inspire you and make you laugh along the way. Enjoy! Gracias, XO
